Diagnosis

Vertex and occiput yellowish-white; mesoscutum and scutellum with weak reticulation; transepimeral sulcus strongly curved, lower mesepimeron large, convex and metallic (i.e. with different colour than upper mesepimeron which is yellowish-white); female gaster with anterior one-third white, median one-third dark brown, posterior one-third yellowish-brown. Similar to santarosae, but differs in having median propodeum longer in female (2X as long as length of dorsellum) and in having transepimeral sulcus strongly curved.

Distribution

Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Venezuela.

Biology

From gall midge (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae) blister galls on Pilea imparifolia (Urticaceae).
